- Client: Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE)
- Country: Spain
- Start date: 2009
- Ending date: 2016
The Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BIMEP) is an infrastructure for testing and demonstrating open-sea wave energy converters and offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 20 MW distributed across four offshore connection points with 5 MW each. It will also include an electric substation on land to which each device is connected to evacuate energy. The infrastructure is conveniently completed with the installation of beacons to avoid maritime traffic. The project is split into four work packages or contracts: power lines, connection systems, substation and beaconing.
This infrastructure is the only one of its kind operating in Spain and one of the few worldwide

- Assessing tenders and proposals in order to select the winner of each package
- Supervising the supplies to certify that they comply with the specifications of each element of the infrastructure
- Supervising the progress of the works on each one of the four main contracts
- Managing the project, Project Management and coordinating the companies awarded contracts as regards to building and installing the various infrastructure elements
